The Braden Family Pigs

For a while we had a new family name

Around 1990 the Braden Family picked up the term "pig." At that time Robert was around 8 and Anne was 12. For some reason we picked up the label of "Pigs." We called each other "Pig Face." When asked what was for dinner, the answer was "Pig Food." Where are we going? To the "Pig Farm." The user name for one of our bank accounts was "GoPigs."

We had little ceramic pig figurines around the house. All in fun.

On a visit to England, while driving from Birmingham to Portsmouth, we had to stop and take pictures of an actual Pig Farm so we could show the kids where they were born.

All was good with the exception of an incident in the early days of our Pig Life: Robert didn't quite understand that our pig jokes were limited to our family members, and he told a friend that the friend was a "Pig Face." We had to fix that before there was trouble.

And if you don't like this story, go back to your Pig Pen.
