The following is a song by Perri Backmer and Jay Braden to reflect (nicely) on Frank's Pickleball play.

FRANK, FRANK, FRANK THE SPORT

Verse 1 - Jay and Perri Sing:
When COVID came along one day,
         And shut our racquetball down.
The gyms were closed, we couldn't play,
         There wasn't a court around.
Then Frank said, "I've got an idea—
We'll play right here at home!"
He painted lines across his drive,
         And built the Pickleball Dome.

CHORUS - Everyone Sings:
         Frank, Frank, Frank the Sport,
Meanest backhand on the whole damn court!
         Meaner than an overhead slam,
         Meaner than a battering ram!
         Frank, Frank, Frank Had Game,
His backhand shot was a thing of fame.

Verse 2 - Jay and Perri Sing:
For six great years we gathered there,
Three times a week with our Pickleball gear.
Set up the net and bring out a chair,
Plug in a fan to get some air,
We played some games, we talked some trash,
         And laughed until we'd drop.
And if you thought you’d beat old Frank,
         His backhand made you stop!

CHORUS - Everyone Sings:
         Frank, Frank, Frank the Sport,
Meanest backhand on the whole damn court!
         Meaner than an overhead slam,
         Meaner than a battering ram!
         Frank, Frank, Frank Had Game,
His backhand shot was a thing of fame.

Verse 3 - Jay and Perri Sing:
But Frank gave more than games to us,
More than a place to play.
He opened up his home and heart
         And brightened every day.
He welcomed friends from near and far,
         With laughter at the door.
And somehow every time we met,
         We left with something more.

CHORUS - Everyone Sings:
         Frank, Frank, Frank the Sport,
Meanest backhand on the whole damn court!
         Meaner than an overhead slam,
         Meaner than a battering ram!
         Frank, Frank, Frank Had Game,
His backhand shot was a thing of fame.

Verses 4 and 5 - Jay and Perri Sing:
Now Frank is gone, and we still feel
         The ache of losing him.
But when we gather on that court,
         His memory shines within.
We’ll hear his laugh, recall his shots,
         And feel the friendships made.
The home he gave our Pickleball group
         Made memories that’ll never fade.

So Frank, our friend, we're grateful
         For every game we played.
For every laugh and every shot
         For every friendship made.
And when we step up on that court
         And lift our paddles high,
We'll honor you with every point
As the Pickleballs go flying by.

CHORUS - Everyone Sings:
         Frank, Frank, Frank the Sport,
Meanest backhand on the whole damn court!
         Meaner than an overhead slam,
         Meaner than a battering ram!
         Frank, Frank, Frank Had Game,
His backhand shot was a thing of fame.

Jay: "And Frank - if you're somewhere up there listening, know that you're still with us every time we gather. Your laughter, your friendship, and that unforgettable backhand will always be part of our games."

Perri: "One last time on the Chorus!"

CHORUS - Everyone Sings:
         Frank, Frank, Frank the Sport,
Meanest backhand on the whole damn court!
         Meaner than an overhead slam,
         Meaner than a battering ram!
         Frank, Frank, Frank Had Game,
His backhand shot was a thing of fame.
