This was the Sunday for the David Spencer Life Group at Fellowship Baptist Church to have its class Christmas Party. As part of the festivities there was a gift exchange.

Jay had asked if this was a White Elephant Gift Exchange and Joyce said, "No;" this was for serious gifts of a value of about $10, and maybe a bit more.

See what Jay did as his part of the gift exchange.

So Jay went to the local Christian Bookstore and bought a best selling Christian book by Max Lucado, "Six Hours One Friday." He then searched on the Internet and found a Scientology book, and he printed out the cover of the Scientology book.
He then created a new book cover that he gently mounted over the cover of the Max Lucado book.
Jay then wrapped the book with the fake cover and it was ready for the gift exchange
There was no way to predict who would pick Jay's book, but it turned out to be Kay, who opened the present and was . . . almost speechless.
She wanted to say thank you for the gift but who can say thank you in a Christian Church for a book on Scientology?
But before Kay sat down, Jay encouraged her to inspect the cover of the book. She discovered it was a fake, and then everyone had a good laugh. In Kay's defense, she handled it very well.
