So let us see where is your understanding of the Christian Bible.
The Christian Bible has two sections, the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament is the original Hebrew Bible, the sacred scriptures of the Jewish faith, written at different times between about 1200 and 165 BC. The New Testament books were written by Christians in the first century AD.
In the era of the Old Testament and in the era of the New Testament up to today, most people believed in some form of afterlife ... that people have a spirit or soul that "lives on" after one takes his or her last breath on this earth. They recognized that life on earth is brief and that eternity is a long, long time, and they wanted to spend time in an eternity of happiness. They understand that man's nature is to be sinful and that forgiveness of sins has to be an element of entrantrance into an eternity of bliss.
In the Old Testament we learn that God the Father specifically chose the Jewish people to be His chosen people and provided them laws to obey and a means to obtain a temporary covering for their sins. So God the Father arranged that a blemish free lamb had to be killed and sacrificed to atone or give the Jewish people this temporary covering for their sins.
The New Testament describes how Jesus came and changed everything about how one can receive salvation and an eternity of happiness and bliss.
So we now ask, "Do you believe that man's soul or spirit continues into eternity, and that we should all be seeking a way to ensure that this eternity is one of happiness and bliss rather that one of sorrows and sadness and torment?"
o No. I believe that everything ends at physical death or I believe that the spirit will live on if we have had more good than bad in our life or it will live on in some form regardless of how one lives his or her life here on earth. If you have any of these beliefs, then the question is, "Do you know that you know that you know?" If you are confident that there is no heaven or hell then we wish you the best. If you are not sure, then we simply ask if you are willing to accept the consequences if you are wrong.
o Yes. I believe that soul or spirit continues into eternity and that there is a way to know today if you will saved to move on into an eternity of happiness and bliss.
Today think if you believe there is a heaven and hell and if you want to do what is required so that you know where you are going. Then come back tomorrow to open Envelope #4
