| Robert, Natalie, Everett, Bonnie, Anne and Jay traveled to Washington, D.C. on April 13 for the wedding of Charles Wright and Grace Remington.
After the wedding we played tourist and visited some of the attractions in the area. We traveled by Metro and by foot. Our first stop was the Capitol Visitors Center, where we had a nice tour. We then went back and paid a visit with the new Mr. and Mrs. Wright, where friends and family were "hanging out." Later, Philip, Joanna, and Aaliyah joined us as we made our way to China Town for dinner. Sunday was busy. First Arlington Cemetery where we saw the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the changing of the guard. We also visited the grave of Bonnie's dad. Then it was some walking. First to the Lincoln Memorial, then the WWII Memorial, then to the Museum of American History. Eventually we made our way back to Reagan airport where we departed for our flights home. |
