Show time at the Center was 6:15 AM, and the Center was about a 35 minute drive from Valrico, so this was a day that started early. But both the trip downtown and also check-in were uneventful.

Karen was taken back to the surgery area around 8 AM where she was prepped and both Cathy and Jay had time to go back there and wish her the best for her upcoming surgery.

   

Karen's surgery began around 9 AM and was probably over by 11 AM. There was about an hour while she was closely monitored in the recovery area, and by 12 PM she was on her way home. Karen was, understandably, in a lot of pain at the time of her release.

   

   

   

Perhaps a stop on the way home for simething to eat helped some of the pain go away.

Once home Karen stayed initially in Braden’s room as it was near the bathroom. She laid on her back with her leg slightly elevated.

Praise the Lord for a very good day in an excellent facility with an excellent medical staff using excellent equipment and medicines.
