Jay and Joyce traveled to Alabama and Georgia to be with Robert and his family for a fun weekend at the Great Wolf Lodge resort in Lagrange, Georgia. The resort features in indoor water park and this would be Robert‘s family‘s first visit there, so we were all looking to have a lot of fun.
Jay and Joyce drove up Thursday to Robert’s home in Lanett, Alabama, and spent the night there. The next day they had a nice tour of the Montessori school that Benjamin, Everett, and Charlie attend and then checked into the resort for two days of water park fun including six water slides, a lazy river, an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, an indoor wave pool, and an indoor splash park for Luke. The resort also had three or four restaurants though we did bring some breakfast and lunch items; and it also had a pan-for-gemstomes attraction that the boys certainly enjoyed.
After checking out of Great Wolf we all traveled to nearby Wild Animal Safari to drive a rented van through a park filled with deer, water buffalos, donkeys, giraffes, camels, pigs, goats, sheep, and even an ostrich or two ... feeding them. Always fun.
Monday morning was head-back-to-Tampa day so we said goodbye and began planning our next get-together.
