Daylin's First Cross Country Season


In August of 2021 Daylin entered 9th Grade at Bloomingdale High School. She had played and was playing soccer in Recreation Leagues in Brandon and she had played for her Brooker Middle School team. She was giving thought to trying out for the Bloomingdale Soccer Team in the Spring.

But then she learned that the Cross Country Coach was also the Soccer Coach, and was told that cross country is great for conditioning for soccer.

So Daylin ran for the Bloomingdale JV Cross Country team and was recognized at the end-of-season banquet in November for "Most Improved," cutting six minutes off her original times.

Daylin gives a lot of credit to her JV Cross Country Coach, Dale Bateman.
